April 21, 2009 Peoria Garden Club members traveled to Princeton for a day of antique shopping in Princeton, lunch at the Garden Gate Grille, and touring Hornbaker Gardens.

Arbor Day    April 24, 2009

Two Illinois Central College staff members and two students planted a serviceberry tree, a native Illinois tree, at the entrance to Wayne A. Downing Peoria International Airport in honor of Arbor Day 2009.  The serviceberry tree was donated by the Peoria Garden Club of Peoria.

Beautiful planters were given to wives and/or mothers of local soldiers currently serving our country overseas.


May 19th Peoria Garden Club members traveled to Lee's Garden near Tremont and make stepping stones and bird baths.  Bonnie Cox and Mimi Allen did a great job organizing, hauling supplies, and helping everyone complete a successful project.

Bird baths will need to dry several days before they can be moved.
